How to Apply Thermal Compound (Arctic Silver 5) to A CPU and A GPU - Laptop (Dell Inspiron 1545) Tube. Duration : 13.98 Mins.
In this video I am showing you guys how to apply thermal paste into a laptop processor and GPU/Chipset using Arctic Silver 5 (Dell Inspiron 1545) (Intel T4400 @ 2.2 GHz x2 and Intel GMA 4500MHD/Intel GM45/GM47). Most laptop processors are different from desktop processors because they do not have an Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS), so you will have to cover the whole CPU and/or GPU instead of using the "dot" method or "grain of rice" method. After this video, I did the same thing with my sisters Dell Inspiron 1545 like I said earlier in the video. Please don't forget to comment, rate, subscribe, and check out this dude's channel. www.youtube.com Now, after installing Arctic Silver 5, the air that comes out of the vent on the laptop is way warmer now, and the fan doesn't come on as much as it used to. Before installing Arctic Silver 5, when watching a YouTube video in 720P, the fan is always on until I pause the video or the video is done playing, now, the fan just turns on and off when watching in 720P, which is a good thing, meaning my processor and GPU is running cooler.
