To check this, get an app called Core Temp (I'll put the link below). Monitor your CPU heat, and where it says TJ max, thats your CPU max (thats the heat your CPU can withstand. You want to be at least 30 degrees below that, or your CPU will not work as hard as your computer will make it work less hard as to not produce as much heat, thus slowing down your games. If you are experiencing overheating problems, here are some solutions. If your like me, and have a laptop, get a laptop cooling pad. Read the reviews, make sure that its good for gaming (some pads work good for regular work use, some work better for gaming use, check that).
